The Kestrel 5500 Weather Meter is a lightweight, handheld, multi-functional weather meter and data logger with Kestrel's weather vane tripod mount. All Kestrel meters are extremely accurate, drop tested, dust-proof, waterproof, float if dropped in water, and able to withstand extreme environments.

Device measures altitude, barometric pressure, compass direction, crosswind, density altitude, headwind/tailwind, heat stress index, relative humidity, station/absolute pressure, temperature, psychrometric temperature, wind chill, and air speed.

This meter also comes with the Kestrel Weather Vane, which snaps right into place and attaches to the top of your tripod or ¼-20 fitted bracket. This rotating weather vane spins freely with the direction of the wind, giving you a more precise wind read and a quick visual reference of wind changes.
