Leather Handled Bowie -
Classical style leather handle hunting knives have been popular since the early 1900s. Dressy enough for gift giving and practical for field use. Brown leather KA-BAR sheath included.

Clip Blade -
The clip blade is a classic shape and very practical. Its name describes a shape that seems to have a portion of the spine of the blade clipped off. This brings the blade point lower for extra control and enhances the sharpness of the tip. It provides ample "belly" in the blade for slicing or skinning and a good tip for inserting in and under things that need to be cut. You will often find a false edge with the clip point.

Fixed Blade -
A fixed blade is a solid piece of steel, anchored to the handle without any folding mechanisms. It's durable and holds up well against the elements.

Stainless Steel -
group of corrosion resisting steels containing a minimum of 10% chromium and in which varying amounts of nickel, molybdenum, titanium, niobium as well as other elements may be present.

I was relatively pleased with the knife. It arrived in a well packaged K-Bar box and upon opening I was impressed with the knife overall. It had a nice leather sheath, and it was clear that it was an “economical” knife especially from the material of the handle but the blade was nicely finished. The reason for the 4 stars is I don’t like that a K-Bar knife is made in China. Other than that it appears to be a solid knife.
