Isn’t close to fitting a Colt 1911 without extensive fitting
I have a Colt Combat Elite, not some cheapie 1911. While I probably would have bought something more expensive with good reviews, this was the only thing in stock - threaded 5.75”
It just doesn’t fit. The tang is too wide and won’t seat. Instead of just sending it back, which I should have, decided to work on it. The tang now fits, but it will not lock-up. The ridges won’t align. I’ll need to spend more time and not sure at this point if I’ll be successful.
