I bought this round originaly for plinking, but it has a much better use. This round has a 100% energy transfer (In Lamens terms whatever the round hits, it doesn't go though). Besides that it's a very flat shooting round, and I've hit everything I've put my sights on up to 100 yrds.

Great bullet, a little light for coyote. I hit one in the back of the head at 75 yards and I had to do a follow up shot. Great for fox.

I bought the 20-grain because all of the 17-grains were out of stock. I bought 9 boxes of Hornady and 9 of another brand, all arrived in great condition. I waited to write the review until I had shot 200 rds. Seems like great standard Ammo. I have a Savage, Bolt action BTVSS.

I have used this round for animals as large as red fox with great success. The shock from a well placed hit to the heart lung area will put them down every time. I use a Ruger Bolt action rifle with a Bushnel 4X12 scope. Set on 6X it makes a great combination. It's a nail driver.

I received 500 rds of Hornady .17 HMR, 20 grn XTP ammunition for Christmas. Initially I was disappointed because I enjoy shooting CCI .17grn TNT Hollow Points and that was what my rifle was sighted in for. After re-zeroing my rifle for the 20grn Hornady XTP rounds, I truly enjoyed this ammunition. The Hornady XTP ammunition was very accurate and dependable. I had no problem shooting ground squirrels out to 200 yards. This is great ammunition!

This is a nice little rou
This is a nice little round for any .17 rimfire shooter. The 20 gr. weight helps to improve downrange accuracy, and I was able to get very consistent groupings of around 4 inches at 350 (+ or - 10 yards) shooting off of a weapon mounted bipod and firing from a prone position. The only thing that would improve this round would be a solid nose, which would more than likely also help reduce down range tumble. Overall a very nice round to shoot.
