This cartridge owes its electrifying accuracy and terminal performance to its bullet: the ELD-VT. It’s match grade, albeit too light at 100 grains to cover the long distances the 6.5 CM was conceived for. Within reasonable ranges, the ELD-VT’s trajectory is FLAT: .448 G1/.226 G7 BC, i.e. 200-yd zero, -5.7” 300 yds, -16.8” 400 yds, -34.0 500 yds.

The ELD-VT’s Heat Shield polymer tip and consistently thick AMP jacket give it its accuracy. They are also laid out so they cause rapid fragmentation after impact. It’s the blow-em-up punch that lets you really know when you *hit* a critter.

You can hunt in the chilly morning and the boiling afternoon and always expect consistent aim from Hornady’s temperature-stable propellant. These match loads’ excellent brass cases are worth saving.
