I tried the 32gr and the 40gr VMax in my Ruger American rifle. From a bench rest, I got 1/2' groups with the 32gr and 1/8'-1/4' groups with the 40gr. I will obviously be going with the 40gr. This rifle with this ammo is awesome. As for people concerned if it will take down a deer, it will. I know plenty of people that take deer and wild hogs with one shot at hundreds of yards. I got rid of my 223 and bigger bore rifles. This is all I need now.

I shoot these out of my CZ 527 varmint. I have shot coyotes here in the Ozarks from 8 yds up to 300 yds so far. If well placed, they'll do the job. I've had a few runners with the 32 grain, but the 40s are money. Buy 'em by the case. You can't go wrong!!

my r-15 likes the 32 grai
my r-15 likes the 32 grain much better...shoots 1 inch pattern with the 32 grain Hornady and a 5 inch pattern with the 40 grain...i'm sure its just the my rifle that doesn't like the bullet and not the bullets themselves.

Once again Hornady has do
Once again Hornady has done it again. This ammo. is by far the best and only ammo that my rifles will ever see. They say 3900fps and they mean it. My NEF fires these around 3905-3910. VERY ACCURURATE, under the right circumstances I would not be afraid to take a deer with this ammo.
