This particular Superformance round utilizes Hornady's CX projectile. These bullets utilize a monolithic copper alloy design that won't separate, delivers devastating terminal performance with deep penetration, and has 95% weight retention. A Heat Shield Polymer Tip resists aerodynamic heating and provides a consistently high ballistic coefficient for the bullet's entire flight path. Simply put, it is a very high-quality projectile which offers superior hunting performance.
