Who wants 5.56x45 ammo in drab cardboard boxes? Not you! You expect your ammunition to come in a reusable plastic field box, because *you* are a fan of *extras*.

And this Hornady Frontier ammunition is extra good, too! Priced for high-volume range blasting yet still made in the USA, this ammo is loaded with the 55 grain full metal jacket projectiles that earn it true M193 specifications. It’s essentially the same stuff you’d be supplied with at a military gun range (if you were a member of the military, needless to say).

This ammo’s FMJs are nonmagnetic, backed by noncorrosive Boxer primers, and seated in brass cases that have never before reflected the light of day. If you notice any discoloration around the cases’ necks, don’t fret it. That is not evidence of remanufacture. It is a birthmark of sorts, as Hornady doesn’t always polish their Frontier series ammo’s cases following annealment.

Is this a hollow point?
Answer: No sir. It is loaded with full metal jacket (FMJ) projectiles. Hollow point bullets are usually abbreviated "HP" (or JHP, in the case of a jacketed hollow point). I don't know what you want HP bullets for: target shooting, or self-defense. If you're looking for defense ammo, then I recommend Speer Gold Dot .223 Rem (which works in 5.56 rifles). It's loaded with bonded soft point bullets that are designed to overcome barriers and expand inside soft tissue: https://www.cheaperthandirt.com/speer-gold-dot-duty-rifle-223-rem-ammunition-20-rounds-sp-55-grains.html
