The CX consists of two components: a copper-alloy body, and a polymer tip. The former is precision-machined, without inconsistencies that might have weakened balance, and outfitted with grooves that minimize bearing surface and diminish drag. The latter is the patented Heat Shield, featuring a Drag Variability Reduction Technology flat meplat and the immunity to aerodynamic friction it needs to conserve its low-drag frontal profile. When fired from a 24” test barrel, the 90 grain CX’s trajectory looks like so: 0yds: -1.5” → 100yds: 1.6” → 200yds: -0.0” → 300yds: -7.1” → 400yds: -20.8” → 500yds: -42.2”.
