Too many misfires.
Feb 2018. I figured it's Hornady, what is going on with the low price. Is this a deal or what? Bought 4 boxes. Went to the range with my son's 14th birthday present, a brand new Performance Center with a 14" barrel. Took 4 boxes of similarly priced Federals. 1/2 of the Hornady's did not fire. The ones that did cooked out of the barrel. Destroyed the ballistics of the Federals. But, with a 50% failure rate, how is that going to work come deer season, or for those of you that encounter bear or wild hogs. Had my son's revolver checked out, even though it fired everything else flawlessly. Nope, the ammunition. Contacted Hornady and they were helpful but stood by their ammunition quality. I own thousands of Hornady rounds, and never had a problem before with any of them. These, on the other hand, are junk.

I will be buying this in bulk very soon!
I shot about fifty rounds over the 4th of July weekend . What an impressive gun. Shot this after dark and the muzzle flash is more like 4.5 to 5 feet recoil is very strong . Shot one round with less grip than I should have and my wrist hurt for a few hours after. Cant wait to go shooting again. Pros: everything Cons: none

I took my new 460 revolve
I took my new 460 revolver with an 8' barrel out hunting and used these hornady bullets. I spotted a groundhog about 50 yards away and took him out with my first shot, it nearly split him in half. Excellent powerful and accurate ammo for the price.

Approximately 8-10 m0nths
Approximately 8-10 m0nths ago, I purchased a S&W 460 V. This pistol has the 5 inch barrel. I really love my Smith and the Hornady 200 grain bullet. What a blast. I love the ammo and I love the pistol. I have hand loaded some 300 grain Hornady bullets as well.

Well I've shot a few different types of ammo through this pistol and @100 yds. I'm shooting a 1.5 inch group with Hornady FTX bullets. That's right, I said 100 yrds. Off of a shooting stick and a 7.5 inch barrel. Hornady...There is no substitute!

Put several boxes thru my S&W 460 XVR 7in barrel. When bench rested with a rifle scope (yes on the pistol) these will key-hole at 50yds. Still on the bench rest, these will hit a dinner plate at 140yds with seemingly no drop in trajectory! If only I could do this in the off-hand LOL.

This stuff is AWESOME!!!
This stuff is AWESOME!!! Very loud, very powerful, very accurate. Wear double ear protection.... Your ears will ring through just muffs or plugs. Invite some friends for the show, these babies will attract a crowd at the range. Great rounds for a great price. I bought a case and plan on buying more.

I just bought 4 boxes of this stuff, almost $100 worth of it and it is not worth the postage paid to get it to me. I went to the range and tried bullets from two of the four boxes. After 10 misfires I quit trying. I did get two of them to go off after trying them a second time. Something just is not right with them. Not worth using for hunting or even at the range. No problem with any other ammo I tried at the same range day, everything else, both .45 LC and .460 S&W Federal loads all went on first shot every time. They are 1/2 price for a reason folks!!! Buyer beware!!!
