A heavy, streamlined and balanced bullet is optimal for long-distance shooting. This round’s 75 grain boat tail hollow point Match projectile is all three. Its muzzle velocity may be relatively low (2,790 fps, 24” test barrel), although its high momentum, injection-molded lead core, and concentrically sound copper jacket all give the bullet a very high G1 BC: .395, which translates to 63% velocity retention at 500 yards. Aim to 200 yards through 1.5” high sights, and drop at 300 should be approximately -8.2” (real-world results always vary some).
