Look at the clock. Notice anything special? Check again. It is time … for *accuracy*.
Hornady’s BLACK series ammunition doesn’t just get along famously with any rifle that can chamber its premium, reloadable brass cases. It is also loaded with 168 grain Extremely Low Drag Match projectiles: an excellent choice of bullet for competition, albeit no less satisfying when you’re the only one around to witness its precision in action.
The ELD Match isn’t just reasonably heavy at 168 grains, which bumps its ballistic coefficients up into the big leagues: G1 .523, G7 .263. It is also tipped with a polymer Heat Shield, which foregoes deformation in response to aerodynamic heating in favor of preserving its drag-equalizing, dispersion-minimizing DVRT meplat. The ELD Match’s uniformly thick AMP jacket, uniformly distributed swaged lead core, and optimally angled boat tail base all follow to grant the bullet even greater stability, even higher downrange velocity conservation, and the potential for even tighter grouping. The only X factor is you!

Seasoning a new build
I bought these for my newly built AR-10 to season the barrel. I fired over forty shots through a brand new rifle and had groups at 30 yards and 100 yards without a zero that were under 2 inches. After actually zeroing the rifle, I put two groups of three of this Hornady Black in dime sized holes at 100 yards. I can't wait to go somewhere with long ranges so I can really test it out.

Hornady ammunition is one of the best on the market and I would recommend it to everyone.

308 ammo that is proven to be better than the rest.
When your life is on the line, why would you suddenly for anything less than perfect. This 308 ammo shoots straighter. I can definitely feel the difference with this ammo. My clusters on the target are 1inch to 2 inches apart. But what makes it great is alot less kick, I'm able to get back on target quicker with faster trigger pulls. ???? I can even see a difference when cleaning my AR 10. Go big or go home.

Hornady Black is Gold Medal
Shoot all day at 500+ yards, it is that clean and consistent Pros: More consistent Ammo than I am shooter Cons: Makes me want to shoot good as Ammo

Awesome stuff!
Bought this to zero at 300 and be able shoot 1000 with my 308 RPR by subtending w/o the need to adjust the Vortex PST FFP. Pros: Repeatable hits at 300, with a 1.5" grouping.

Nice Tight Grouping from 308
Ran 20 Rds though my DPMS LR 308 w 24" Bull Barrel and got a really nice grouping at 100 yards, under 0.5 MOA. Really happy with them so far
