Hornady XTP Bullets are designed for high performance, high pressure hunting and defensive applications. The XTP Hollow point offers controlled expansion across a great range of velocities, to 1.5 times the original diameter of the bullet. A heavier than usual jacket is used to ensure that the bullet stands up to the higher pressures associated with hunting and defensive loads.

When I first observed the bullets on the cheaper than dirt website I wondered if they could be used in a 45 ACP so I sent cheaperthandirt an email and got to respond back yes when I receive the bullets I checked the book and found it there was no powder recommendations for that bullet in an ACP 45 and they should not be used in an ACP 45 I sent cheaperthandirt an email back with no response I did not receive a calendar either like they said they were going to send me I think they could do better than that in the past I've used them now it's questionable
