The Easiest Way to Clean a firearm period.
If you haven't used a Hoppe's Boresnake or any similar type cleaning system you would be similar to a individual living in the dark ages. Forget trying to force a hard rod down your barrel scrubbing back and forth damaging your barrel rifling. Pick up a boresnake, spray some solvent down the bore from the chamber end, insert the weighted brass end and pull the snake through the barrel 2-3 times. The bore will be spotless and clean. This is the absolutely easiest way to clean and maintain all of your firearms. FYI they do sell both shorter pistol length bore snakes and longer rifle/shotgun length bore snakes.

Got this for my new 20 gauge, I try and have these for all my guns. Now that I'm married w kids, I can at least spray some solvent down the barrel and run one of these down a couple of times till I have the time for my neurotic OCD detailed clean I like to do post range/hunt.

Bore Snake is easy to use and does a great job . I got the idea from watching 'Trigger Time' on TV . I did use a mop with CLP first .

I have one for every cali
I have one for every caliber I own. I will take the snake to the range with me and clear out the bore right after my last shot while the residue is still warm. If I take it home, I'll run some bore cleaner through the barrel first, let it sit, then snake it. For easy cleaning, it doesn't get much easier.

Cleaned my bore very well
Cleaned my bore very well, no complaints there. only problem i have thats keeping it from getting 5 bullets is that the pull cord doesnt just 'drop down' the barrell. it requires some feeding but that's not too big of a deal I guess, just adds other minute or two to the cleaning process.

Just used this boresnake
Just used this boresnake on my .22 heritage single action six (cylinder removed first of course) and it ripped out a lot more junk then my cleaning kit was ever able to. I'd highly recommend this for anyone that shoots! It's easy to use with a simple pull through and really cleans out those .22's after shooting them up dirty from a day at the range!

Where has this thing been
Where has this thing been all my life? This is an outstanding tool if you have a tricky receiver that does not typcially allow a cleaning rod to go through from the receiver end. I think that a cleaning rod is still better, but this is great for a quick clean after 100 rounds or so at the range when you don't want to get out the muzzle guard.

This product does a good
This product does a good job cleaning but it has one major problem. Its checkered dark green and black which makes it hard to tell if the bore is clean. Otherwise it's a good product.

Whatever the need - C&R r
Whatever the need - C&R rifles, pistols, AR, AK -- I use my bore snake for all of em. On a modern firearm, you've got everything you need in a spray can of CLP and a bore snake. Those two would keep any weapon shooting clean and accurate for the rest of your life.On a C&R, mind you, you need to deal w/ the salts problem if you shoot corrosive. But running a soaked bore snake through your bore 1-2 times on any modern firearm will clean it up in a tenth of the time it would take to use a conventional (and much more expensive) cleaning kit.

I have a different Bore S
I have a different Bore Snake for every pistol & rifle caliber that I own & simply put, BS's are awesome. I swab the bore's with nitro solvent & let it sit & soak for 1 to 3 hours, then pull the Bore Snake through 2 or 3 times & WHALLAH!! The BS has just done in 2 or 3 pulls what would have taken 12 or more patches. The BS is washable & reusable & I have been using some of mine for 4 years now & they are holding up well. Now I finish off the bore with only 1 or 2 patches to get the last bit of minor fouling out & I'm done.
