The new XB-44DL is the perfect balance between weight, load capacity, and super low-profile height. These ball head specs are unmatched. The XB-44DL is ideal for weight conscious individuals who still require a full featured ball head. We made the XB-44 even shorter by machining off the neck of the ball head (creating the proprietary GNN series). This reduces damaging stress/leverage to internal parts, increases stability, yet still allows for 23° of elevation adjustment, with approximately 48° of total vertical travel. Our XB-44DL Low-Profile Ball Head with Duo-Lever Clamp is based on the original XB-44, and we replaced the Screw-Knob Clamp with DLC-50 Screw/Lever Combo Clamp. The screw knob side now provides initial adjustment of the width of the clamp, while the lever side allows the user to quickly lock or un-lock the clamp. The XB-44DL Low Profile Ball Head is the smaller of two ball heads in the XB line of low profile ball heads. It features a very low center of gravity, a very high load capacity of 88 lbs, and an improved ball head design for smoother movements when changing position.
