The G3 was adopted in 1958 as the standard infantry weapon of the German Bundeswehr replacing the Bundeswehr's G1 and remained in service until 1997. The G3 is chambered in 7.62 x 51 mm, G3 stands for "Gewehr 3", German for "Rifle, 3". The rifles have been taken apart and the parts are now being sold in the surplus market. This is a complete wooden stock set that includes the butt stock, forearm, black grip, and some hardware in Grade II condition.
