Arsenal, Inc.'s upper and lower handguard set, manufactured for AKSU-type ("Krinkov") rifles, is constructed of high-strength reinforced polymer and offers a modern, weather resistant upgrade over typical AK-pattern wooden components. The lower handguard incorporates a stainless steel heat shield and metal insert that exceed mil-spec standards. This results in decreased heat transfer and maximum user comfort during long shooting sessions. The ribbed design of these handguards not only allow for a better grip, but because of their increased surface area they also cool down faster. They come in matte black and plum colors and will fit any stamped receiver AKSU-type rifles, including Arsenal's SLR-104UR, SLR-106U/UR, and SLR-107U/UR rifles. These are the only US made mil-spec handguards in the market that are also 922r compliant.
