It will fit a full-sized
It will fit a full-sized 1911, and it's nice not to have to hassle with keys, but the locking mechanism will flat out FAIL IN COLD WEATHER. The combo will work but the latch will not open - not a great scenario when you really need your sidearm.

my wife wanted this for storage in her truck. she used it about 10 times and the lock fell apart. the locking mechanism is garbage. don't buy this. get a key lock. they are way more reliable.

I like the combination lo
I like the combination lock feature as opposed to keyed, although you must have a light to use it in the dark. The wife and I can put both our guns in it (without pocket holsters), which works well for us (Kahr CM40 and Sig P238). Full size M&P fits well also. Foam liner keeps the guns from moving at all. Can easily move from car to car if you add another cable, which is easily fabricated from supplies that can be purchased at Ace Hardware.

Good safe place for a sma
Good safe place for a small handgun. I put my Beretta in which is a tight fit. Still need to be careful not to block the locking mechanism. Setting the combination and operation is all very basic. Nice to have by the bedside.

This the second gunvault
This the second gunvault I have purchased. They are of very sturdy construction and do the job they were designed for very well. I bought this one for a S&W 44 mag with a 4' inch barrel. While the gun just fits, the cylinder of the gun is too thick and leaves a gap on one side of the safe. So I wouldn't recommend it for larger revolvers, but it is perfect for autos and smaller caliber revolvers. For the money this is real good deal. My only gripe, and thus only four bullets, is it is made in China.

Excellent safe to lock yo
Excellent safe to lock your valuables in. I bought it for a S&W MP40 and it fits in nicely with a mag just like the picture. I loaded up the safe and shook it, nothing budged. My S&W 44 mag with a 3' barrel will also fit but barely. This a tiny safe that is great for the night stand or under the seat of your car. The combo is easy to change from the inside too. Finally, I only gave it 4 bullets because it is made in China.

Ordered four of these aft
Ordered four of these after I received my Nano200. They are a sturdy little unit, not Fort Knox but effective non the less. I have several friends who carry W/O a permit and this seems an effective way to keep them out of jail if they get stopped for a traffic violation etc.

This safe doesn't lock very tightly, but it's compact and easy to hide. For the price, it's better than nothing.
