I initially bought the combination lock model. The plastic locking mechanism broke almost immediately. This keyed model looks to be of higher quality. It easily handles my 40 caliber H&K with two fully loaded magazines which is allowed by TSA for checked luggage on an airplane.

It's a little lock box.
It's a little lock box. nothing flashy here. (first & only CTD complaint of mine) it showed up in a bag, not a box, and had been crushed a bit on one corner during shipping (a bit of an overbite one might say). stuck a screwdriver in and leveraged it open (they ship unlocked thankfully) and it popped back into shape. Honestly I prefer the bimetric style, or the button style that Stack-On makes, but this is the basics and will get the job done. Stack-On uses a thicker steel too.

This will come in handy when having to leave my gun in the car, plus it is airline safety approved! No more leaving protection at home or worrying about someone stealing my gun out of the car. Can't beat the price. Fits my SR9c and an extra mag perfectly!

Locks easily, fits comfortably in a night stand drawer, has plenty of room for a full sized weapon (for me it's a Beretta 9mm) plus an extra mag, and I have even thrown some money in there for the heck of it. Very good product so far.

This small safe is great
This small safe is great for my sig and two magazines. Cable appears nice and strong, to secure to a fixed object. Does not have a very strong smell from the foam as some have stated. Good small safe for the price.

This little safe holds a Glock 26 and 3 mags! Great size for the truck or office drawer. I'm buying another one for my snub-nosed revolver.

This small safe is great
This small safe is great for single handgun storage or for securing in your checked bags to be TSA compliant. It comes with the cable and hole in its side for it to slide into. It also has two pre-punched holes on the bottom side if you want to screw or bolt it permanently to a surface. As I expected reading other reviews, and like its competitor products, has very strong smell of napthalene (mothballs) from the foam. It doesn't transfer smell to firearms, but I wouldn't put anything porous, like a holster, in there as they probably would soak the smell in.

Perfect size for a sub-co
Perfect size for a sub-compact. It holds a Glock 26 and 2 mags perfectly. I really like the cable feature. It allows you to secure the safe to a fixed object. Great little safe for the money.
