The Most Versatile and Realistic Looking Fake Suppressor
This faux can looks close enough to the real SOCOM can that you would think it has an NSN number. Your buddies at the range will never know that it isn't military issue SUPPRESSOR, SMALL ARMS WEAPON. Save the tax stamp money and still get the cool look of the SOCOM issued silencer for your AR-15.Installation is super easy with the GunTec SOCOM Fake Suppressor. You simply install the included 1/2x28 adapter over your muzzle threads, replacing your muzzle device. You then slide the silencer-shaped aluminum shroud over the threaded adapter and tighten and lock the sets screws through shroud into the steel thread adapter. The versatility of this SOCOM means that you have the choice to mount this the traditional way that will add about 5.25" to your barrel length or you can also choose to mount this faux can in a slip-over configuration that will cover 5.25" of barrel back from the muzzle.

It does what it's suppose to however the way it's installed isn't the best. Would be better if it screwed on. Instead it has screws that are tightened and press on the muzzle device to hold it in place. Don't tighten to tight or it will strip very easily and be useless

Looks cool, just remember…
Looks cool and functions fine but the set screws that came with it leave something to be desired. Even with locktight they stripped out after around 50 rounds. Replaced the screws and more locktight and it seems fine.
