The tiny but potent Guardian was designed as a pocket-sized backup light for law enforcement, with the same robust construction and materials as their full-sized duty lights. A single CR123A battery drives an impressive 300 lumens of bright, white light through its top-of-the-line LED. Like other ASP tactical lights, the Guardian is machined from 6061 T6 aerospace aluminum, hardcoat anodized in matte black, with a precision-knurled grip all around the barrel. Premium components include Cree XPG2 LED, gold-plated connectors, polished aluminum reflector and optical glass lens. The positive, tactile rear button switch is instantly accessible, quick and quiet. A simple, half-push of the button activates the light in intermittent mode, a full push and click activates constant-on. A quick "double-tap" activates a low, 15 lumen light level.
