The Griffin Armament Taper Mount Blast Shield Can be used when you don't have access to your suppressor

The Griffin Armament Taper Mount blast shield was designed to be a temporary place holder for taper mount muzzle device which don't current have a suppressor mounted to it. In this case the blast shield takes the place of the suppressor and will blow and divert gasses forward. This diversion of gas and pressure was so successful that some LEO and Swat Team members would use them in place of a suppressor so that their fellow teammates didn't experience concussion from muzzle blast which is extremely loud but can also cause prolonged headaches which can last for days.
