Do I use this rod to replace the " clamshell " device I had been using? If so , is a torque wrench, or some other socket-ratchet driven system required ? I just wasn't sure. The rod seems stronger than the clamshell, and I like the idea of the rod over the shell. Sounds good. The description convinced me. I was on the fence, on this one. The rod it is. Thanks.
Answer: Yes, this will replace the clamshell. You will still need your usual tools.
