At the core of the SS is the 4140 steel selector which will serve you well with incredible strength. The serrations on the switches were strategically placed to provide you with maximum real estate for positive function and switch actuation. You never have to worry about the possibility of the screws holding the levers in place backing out or breaking but it is recommend if you are satisfied with the setting that you do apply blue Loctite to the threads.
