Fiocchi's Special Use Law Enforcement loads are designed with a special application in mind. These special purpose loads are still considered lethal and should be treated as live ammunition. The Frangible Demolition Breaching Slug is for use during special operations. It's primary function is for the facilitation of dynamic entry where doors and locks much quickly and effectively be breached to allow an entry team rapid access to an area. The projectile is formed from a composite of powdered metal and epoxy which eliminates ricochet. This round is intended for us in the destruction of door locks, door hinges, padlocks and chains. Due to the nature of this round the muzzle of the shotgun must not be in direct contact with the surface of the target although a standoff device is not necessary.
