Look through its clear plastic hulls and you will see a somewhat unusual species of buckshot: #1 buck, which weighs around 40.5 grains per pellet and is 0.30” in diameter. It’s smaller and lighter than 00 buck, which is why this shell will generate appreciably less recoil on ignition. Those lead balls still clobber their target with plenty of energy, though. Load your shotgun with this ammo and you’ll have ample firepower to “deal with it,” as we phrased it just earlier.

This isn’t low-recoil per se, although it does kick around as hard as a standard velocity 7/8 ounce target shell. If you’re shopping for a semi-automatic, make sure that 2-3/4 dram equivalent ammo will cycle it before investing in these here shells.
