This round’s bullet is one of Fiocchi’s own designs: a jacketed hollow point, which wears a thick copper jacket around its dense lead-alloy core. The JHP’s core is scored by precut serrations to help the bullet fan out wide – even if it reaches the threat with less momentum behind it. And if you decide to launch the bullet extra fast out of a lever gun’s longer barrel, then you can trust its rugged jacket to keep it intact and effective.

Fiocchi loads CovertX ammo with propellant that is formulated to do three things: toss that bullet extra fast, generate as little recoil as possible, and generate as little light as possible, too (thereby preserving the shooter’s night vision). Nickel-plated brass cases accelerate extraction and shield against corrosion – two more very welcome features for EDC carry ammo to have!
