This round’s 138 grain SHP has deep fault lines lining its nose cavity. These enable the bullet to shed off three equally sized parts of itself as it scores a path through flesh. Each breakaway petal has the capacity for 6” deep penetration through ballistic gelatin. The remaining part of the bullet continues onward, and may reach a depth of up to 18” before running out of juice. It’s very injurious terminal performance, which can greatly increase the odds of striking a vital.

The SHP’s most visually striking feature is its blue coating. That’s its Syntech polymer jacket, which is designed to eliminate 100% of metal fouling (and particularly helpful if you intend to send the SHP through a suppressor).
