Bolt actions ONLY
Pressures toohigh for Semi-autos. I read this in anothet review. I recommend this for bolt rifles. Great stuff. Pros: Accurate, low recoil. Cons: Blackens, but easy to clean off.

bought some of this for range use because it was cheap.....I use it exclusively now.....my 2002 model 70 loves this ammo/load ....... groups are well less than 1 inch at 100 ..... I recommend this..... maybe your rifle will like it too..... I used to shoot various 125/150 grain 3,000 f.p.s.+ .....but now this is all I shoot

Great Performer!
Great ammunition for white tail deer hunting in northern Wisconsin. One-shot through the heart of a medium sized doe with picture perfect terminal performance. Not sure how good it will be against a larger buck, but fairly confident it will do the job nicely too. Pros: Accuracy

I have a new Rem 700 VTR
I have a new Rem 700 VTR in .308, and after grouping and 25/50 yard zeroing with Hornady steel match, I dialed my scope out to 100 yard (using Nikon spot on software) and laid eight 150g SST rounds all a tad low of center. Was told to hit a bowling pin at 200 yards and accidentally shot the 300 yard pin instead. I put four more rounds in that 300 yard pin. This is my first time owning and operating a scoped weapon. I tried Federal loaded with Barnes 150 Triple Shocks and was not happy at 100 yards. the SST seemed perfect for my rifle. I didn't notice much, if any, extra recoil vs the steel match. I did notice that the Superformance was louder, but that really doesn't matter, for if you have a 700 VTR in .308, you will notice that with the muzzle brake, it is a very loud weapon.

Great ammo at a great price. I have shot whitetail deer and a few mule deer with this ammo. It group really good and I have never had a misfire. I also use it to varmint hunt coyotes and bobcats with no problem. You can't beat this ammo and the price is the BEST you can get. Thanks! Chacho
