I'm not quite sure what F
I'm not quite sure what Federal was thinking when they made this round. For my raging judge with a three inch barrel, unless you are within five feet of the target, the shot spreads so fast it misses the target.

I use this load in my dou
I use this load in my double barrel derringer, it's partialy smooth-bore and only has 1' of rifling so it holds a spread very well. At seven yards it held a pattern that was roughly 19' in diameter, which is pretty good for up-close. I don't have a judge but I'll tell you it works in a cobray Model DD or a Snake Slayer! Also the fact that it's copper plated makes penetration a little better too.

This ammunition is design
This ammunition is designed specifically for the Judge for self-defense...against people. I own a judge for home defense and have range fired about 50 rounds of this load (The slightly smaller shot size allows for 4 pellets as opposed to the standard 3 in .410) The spread was very tight at 5 yards (about 3 inch diameter) and remained tight at 10 and 15 yards (roughly 6 inch spread). This ammo is designed to be fired in the hallways or rooms of a house at a human, not at a small slender snake, and does the job adaquately. Hopefully I will never have to use it but I am confident in its ability.

Had no problems with this
Had no problems with this out of my judge as far as spread goes. Shooting at 1-3 yards it kept a pattern inside the 9 ring. This ammo was designed for self-defense out of the judge, not shooting snakes. Loaded with this the judge makes an excellend car gun. I load my firt 2cylinders with this and the other 3 with .45s. For the other reviewer, Bird shot is a poor choice for self defense unless you just want to tick off whoever you are shooting at. But I load mine up with 7.5 shot when in snake territory. Gave this 4 stars because the empties still stick in the cylinder and you would think they would have fixed that since this load is designed to be shot out of the judge. Will be buyin more

This is suppose to be mad
This is suppose to be made for the Judge. Well, do yourself a favor and get # 7 1/2 shot or smaller ... if you want any kind of tight pattern beyond 5 feet. For defense or snakes don't count on this load.
