A metal ammo can filled with a whopping 420 rounds of Federal Lake City 5.56 NATO goodness.

Lake City ammunition is known for its quality assurance and the superiority of their products. These rounds are no different. This XM193 product is first run, first quality product, manufactured at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant for Federal Cartridge, and is made to Federal specifications typical for commercial ammunition. Each cartridge is headstamped with the manufacturer's symbol and year of manufacture. It must have an accuracy of 3-10 round groups not to exceed 2.00" mean radius maximum average at 200 yards. 100% mechanical and/or electrical detection of propellant levels within the cartridge, and 100% visual inspection of finished cartridges prior to packaging.

The finished rounds consist of sealed primers which is ideal for long term storage and moisture protection. The ammo comes 10 rounds to a stripper clip, with 3 stripper clips to a cardboard sleeve, for a total of 420 rounds inside a new-from-factory M19A1 .30 cal ammo can.

This item is manufactured in the Lake City Plant currently run by Federal ATK. The ammo is brand new, brass cased, boxer primed, non-corrosive and re-loadable. It is made to MIL-SPEC, which requires the cases to be annealed. Unlike civilian production ammo, the military requires to see evidence of annealing on the round itself. This is why the cases will appear to be discolored.  This is done on purpose in order to meet the military requirement for overall strength and durability of the finished round.
