Police officers across the country depend on Federal Premium HST ammunition to get them through the day. This is that – the 357 Magnum flavor, specifically.

This ammo is designed to do one thing and one thing only: STOP THE THREAT. (We are quite certain it would also stop the deer, hog or yote if you choose it for hunting, too.) It owes its extremely reliable performance to nothing less than its 154 grain HST jacketed hollow point bullet, which does three extremely important things:
1. Resist fracturing apart during high-velocity impact with barriers and soft tissue alike
2. Puncture a barrier without allowing its hollow point nose cavity to get filled up with debris
3. Penetrate to the ideal depth – and expand at the ideal rate and to the ideal width – to neutralize a human attacker (again, it’ll ruin any medium game’s day, too)

This round’s tough, reliable and lethal projectile is seated in a nickel-plated brass case. It’s prettier than brass, but that doesn’t really matter during a self-defense scenario. More importantly, nickel protects the brass from tarnishing, and also reduces friction as the case exits the chamber.
