Federal Premium is widely regarded as one of the world’s greatest shotgun ammo manufacturers, which has spent decades researching and developing “a better shell.” High Over All represents the height of their work: the 20 Gauge ammo to beat all other 20 Gauge ammo if you’re shooting trap, skeet, sporting clays, five stand, or any other target-driven endeavor.

This shell’s #8 lead shot pellets are alloyed with just about the highest antimony content that makes sense. At 5% antimony, the 359 individual balls haven’t lost so much density that they can’t reliably smash long-distance clay. And because such high-antimony shot is also so hard, it reliably conserves the sphericity it needs to pattern extra efficiently.

It only makes sense that Federal would load this state-of-the-art ammo with their state-of-the-art Podium wad. The plastic column’s disc-shaped compression area is designed to reliably flatten down before recoil energy forces the shot pellets to do the same. The Podium’s design also makes this ammo’s hulls very forgiving of which style of component wads they’re reloaded with. Throw in a pure brass cap, and you’ve got a hull that truly rewards handloaders.
