Federal Fusion has drastically reduced the gap between performance and affordability. Federal Fusion is a specialized deer bullet electrochemically joins pure copper to an extreme pressure-formed core to ensure optimum performance. The end result is a high amount of terminal energy on impact that radiates lethal shock throughout the target. Designed to handle everything from tactical operations, to hunting and competition Fusion should be the ammo you reach for first.

Great ammo!
Probably the best non-premium ammo available. I have shot deer and antelope with both 150 and 165 grain 30-06 Fusions and they have either dropped on the spot or not gone too far and one shot has always been enough. The first deer I shot I thought the bullet didn't expand as exit and entry holes were so similar...until I opened him up and it looked like a grenade went off in his chest. I wouldn;t use these on elk or moose, but for deer size game they are great.

I tested this ammo for a represenative of Fusion.
I had no trouble zeroing the ammo for 100 out to 400 yards. I shot a nice buck deer that was standing broadside to me at forty-40 yards the bullet was a perfect hit. I was so close I could see the entry wound and watched the deer walk off. He only went 75 yards in a straight line from point of impact until I found him. There was a perfect exit hole the same size as the entrance hole the bullet never expanded. It was a complete pass through. It was the first time I have ever had to go look for a deer in my entire hunting life. I teach for FWC and can not tell student to shoot them in the head, but I am going back to that practice. I do not hunt antlers. I name the deer or hog: hamburger, sausage or cube steak. I returned the balance to the representative with a field test report.
