The cartridge is very similar in design to the military’s standard M193 load, which chiefly means it is loaded with a 55 grain full metal jacket. It’s a nonmagnetic, copper-jacketed projectile that feeds smooth, hops through the tube with minimal residue, flies along a flat trajectory, and does not mushroom or otherwise widen on impact.

Federal’s American Eagle ammo is loaded with new brass cases; *never* remanufactured. Their necks are only dusky-colored because they weren’t polished up after the normal heat treatment process. One case is divided into five loose-packed boxes, 200 round apiece.
