Great for training...
I fire these rounds in my Ruger SP101 and LCR for training. Never any issues with ejecting brass or misfires. Definitely recommend though they are a little expensive. Pros: eject with ease Cons: expensive

I ordered Friday P.M. and
I ordered Friday P.M. and received them Tuesday and shot on Wednesday. Wow great service and a great cartridge. Shot till I got it zeroed and than finished off the brick and went and got another brick and started on that one. Almost as much fun as my .22 Mag. Recoil was negligible from my Gp 100 but they are loud even with ear defenders.I knew they were somewhat less in H.P. than my .357 but not by much as the increased speed over 1500f.f.p.s. makes up for the reduced grain weight. As an outdoor writer I stated that bullet construction and powder formation would change the face of hunting as we have known it back in 2000. This is proof positive that lightweight bullets driven at fantastic speed means greater downrange energy. Kudos' to CTD, Federal, and Ruger. This is a winning combination.

I bought one box from CTD
I bought one box from CTD. Lot number was P19X569. I tried 10 rounds in known good gun. Five of the ten failed to fire through multiple trips around the cylinder. I bought another box of the same ammo with a different lot number. All these worked as advertised. It appears that I just happened upon a bad box.

I bought a new taurus mod
I bought a new taurus model 327 in december of 2008 and I love this gun. I use to conceal carry a S&W 38 special air weight and wanted something bigger but didnt want to go to the 357 in a small revolver because of the high recoil. I was glad to see this caliber come along. This ammo shoots hard. I shot a full box of 50 and it is mildly uncomfortable because of the recoil. The recoil of this ammo is a lot greater than the 327 85gr federal HP but not as bad as the 357 mag. This ammo shoot 100 grain bullet 1500 fps with 500 foot pounds of energy. Thats a lot from a snub nose. This ammo wouldnt be my choice in personal defense because Im sure you would have complete shoot through with a lot of energy left over but it would be a good ammo for the woods. What a powerhouse

I bought my first box of
I bought my first box of .327 Fed Mag and was very pleased. It is a great caliber and carries a lot of punch. The round is very accurate through my Ruger 101. I was shooting seperate targets at about 25 feet and hit dead center on each one. It is a great choice for self-defense as well.
