Federal Premium 250th Anniversary USA ammo may seem familiar to plinkers and target shooters who’ve fired the Minnesotan manufacturer’s Champion .22 LR 36 grain copper-plated hollow point ammunition before. That’s because it’s the exact same thing. It’s just dressed up in more festive packaging!

Champion ammo is designed to be reliable without being expensive. The 36gr CPHP is dressed in copper plating for reduced fouling. It’s also backed by enough powder to take off at supersonic muzzle velocity: 1,260 fps out of a 24” test tube (with reasonable give and take, of course). If your own rifle’s barrel is the same length, then you can zero in at 50 yards and expect around -7.1” drop below bore line at 100.
