Not For My Mossberg
I tried this loading for our Mossberg 500 home defense shotgun with 18-inch barrel topped with a Cutts compensator. At 5 yards the pattern was 10 inches across! Federal's 000 with 4 pellets was 1.5 inches. My shotgun just doesn't like the #4-Buck loading...

Running through a 24' Mo
Running through a 24' Mossberg 500, these pattern tightly and consistently. 2.5' spread at 20 feet and no fliers.Any '000' Buck I tested (from many manufacturers) produced a 3.75' group and ALWAYS had one flier that was a full group diameter removed from the rest. That means one pellet is always off target and that's dangerous in a defense situation.

This will be displayed next to your question.

I am shooting a single barrel 410 that uses 3 inch shells.these say handgun so can I still shoot them in my shotgun, thanks
Answer: Yes sir, this ammo will do just fine by any shotgun, too. Including "Handgun" on the packaging is just Federal's attempt at attracting the Judge/Governor crowd, which became a very large part of the .410 Bore ammo market in recent years.
