This is real M193 ammunition. Technically it is XM193; the extra letter indicating that it was specifically manufactured for the commercial market (e.g. you). True to M193 specifications, the cartridge is loaded with a 55 grain full metal jacket. It cannot attract a magnet. It has a boat tail to improve stability and velocity retention. It is the standard bullet for range activities with an AR-15 rifle. It’s all you need to have fun.

The area around this round’s case mouth is gray, as it was (A) annealed to remove internal stresses that could lead to splitting in the chamber, and (B) not polished afterward. Military-grade brass isn’t polished, as the military requires proof it was made correctly. It is no less brand new, and no less reloadable.
