Faxon Introduces a Compact Pistol Chambered in the Impressive New 8.6 BLK Cartridge
In 2022, the shooting world's collective attention was grabbed by the announcement of the 8.6 BLK cartridge. Designed to be a sort of big brother to the .300 Blackout round, this new caliber is perfect for use in AR-308 style rifles and pistols. The Faxon Sentinel pistol takes this new round and allows it to be fired from a compact and easy to maneuver platform. Built from a pair of billet aluminum receivers, it utilizes a pistol length gas system and comes with a pistol brace. The barrel is made from 4150 chrome-moly vanadium, features an ultra fast 1:3 twist rate, and utilizes Faxon's Big Gunner profile. This barrel profile features a medium taper behind the gas block to shave off some additional weight. A Faxon MuzzLock 3-Port Muzzle Brake helps to reduce some of the felt recoil for a more pleasant feeling while you're behind the gun.
