The Faxon Gunner barrel is a hybrid profile barrel which combines the government profile and pencil profile. This gives the durability of the government profile as well as the light weight of the pencil profile and makes it great for training, hunting or tactical use. It features 5R rifling which is a hybrid rifling type. Lands opposite of grooves and reduced sharp angles help to reduce bullet jacket deformation to increase velocity and make cleaning easier. This rifling pairs perfectly with the .223 Wylde chamber which is optimized for use with 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington ammunition.
