It begins it's life as a piece of 4150 military specification barrel steel which then has a QPQ Nitride finish applied both on the inside and outside of the barrel. The button rifled 1:8" twist rate barrel is accurate and a good all around twist rate for most loads. That brings us to chamber in which a 5.56x45mm NATO chamber is used allowing you to use either 5.56 or .223 Remington ammunition.
