The Faxon Big Gunner barrel is the barrel you reach for when you are building a competitive or duty big bore modern sporting rifle. This barrel is made from 4150 CMV steel and features Faxon's Big Gunner profile. The Big Gunner feature a medium-taper behind the gas block. From the gas block journal forward, Faxon uses a thinner taper, designed to reduce weight yet maintain rigidity for high rates of fire and as a suppressor host. The barrel extension is compatible with DPMS LR-308 pattern upper receivers. Both the inside and outside of the barrel are coated with an ultra rich and durable salt bath nitride finish for long term durability.
