It begins its life as a piece of 4150 CMV steel which then has a salt bath Nitride finish applied both on the inside and outside of the barrel. The button rifled 1:8" twist rate barrel is highly accurate and is a good all around twist rate for most loads. This barrel utilizes a 5.56x45mm NATO chamber, allowing you to use either 5.56 NATO or .223 Remington ammunition.
