The Faxon Big Gunner barrel is the barrel you reach for when you are building a competitive or duty big bore modern sporting rifle. This barrel is made from 4150 steel and features a quench polish quench construction for incredible strength and longevity. The Big Gunner is a 16" barrel which features a medium taper behind the gas block. The gas seat is set to .750" for compatibility with most common gas blocks. The barrel extension is compatible with DPMS LR-308 pattern upper receivers. Both the inside and outside of the barrel are coated with an ultra rich and durable salt bath nitride finish.
