The Eagle Industries Combat Integrated Releasable Armor System (CIRAS) is now the armor carrier of choice for USSOCOM (BALCS-R). The CIRAS is designed to allow the end user to rapidly jettison the armor platform. This aids in ease of use during WMD Decontamination, access to wounds, as well as Maritime Operations. The CIRAS vest incorporates a single release cable (Pat. Pend.) that makes the assembly process easier than its predecessors. The CIRAS accepts SPEAR BALCS cut soft armor inserts, as well as a 10" x 12" SAPI or similar rifle plate.
