C-Products makes good 7.62 x 39 AR-15 magazines
My friend and I have purchased about nine of these C-Products AR-15 7.62 x 39 thirty round magazines. We tested them out on my friend's rifle and he has used them also in Texas. Thus far he has not reported any issues with them. Presently I have only put twenty rounds through my rifle with one of these magazines using steel cased ammo and it fed flawlessly. I will update if I run into any problems with them but I doubt I will. Someone else I talk with a lot online recommended these magazines as he uses them a lot in his 7.62 x 39 AR-15 rifle. He said they work great.

Slight modification needed
Wouldn't allow BCG to pick up any rounds. Had to bend mag lips slightly to feed properly.

failure to feed on first round
The First round catches on feed lips preventing the BCG from going into battery. Release the mag, bring charging handle back half way let it go and it seats then reinstall mag without problem.

It sucks to have magazines that don't function
I bought 6 C Products mags and all 6 had to have the front lip filed down because the round was stopping at the lip. Out of the 6 two will not push the round up high enough to be fed into the chamber. I have heard I could try a regular AK 47 magazine spring to see if that would help. It seems MagPul needs to come out with mags that work %100 but just be prepared to have mags that might not work. I have only tried C Products mags so I don't know about other brands. Good luck.

Good HD Mag
I always bevel the front edge of my mags to facilitate feeding. Good luck using a file. These are made out of hi-quality steel. I had to use a dremill, as the file would not cut it worth squat. ASC mags file cut easily. I own both. The Cmag has a better finished appearance. Slightly thicker material (weighed 2.5 grams heaver). Both functioned well. Dissasembly is the same fore both types with the exception of the follower. The ASC follower can be tilted and removed. The Cmag would not tilt for removal making cleaning a little toughe,. It did however slide smoother than the ASC. ASC uses a flattened spring, Cmag is round. The Cmag has a better follower to spring fit. Both followers are not captured. The floor plate of the Cmag is much tighter. Neither have a lock plate. Considering that both are the same price I would go with the Cmag as it is better constructed. I would have given it 5 stars if I could get the follower out.

The best option out there
I've tried a couple of other "AR 47" mags - Stoner and ASC, and these have been far superior. They are well made, and I have only two failures to feed in almost a thousand rounds. It's a tough gig, getting this cartridge to work in something that fits into an AR lower, but CPD does the best out of all the others I've tried. If running 7.62x39 out of an AR platform is something you're interested in, I think these mags are your best bet.

Needed a little tweaking
One of the three magazines has a stiffer spring than the other two. Sometimes the ammo gets stuck loading it around the half way point and I have to bang it on the table to get it to load. Probably just need to load it and leave it to settle the spring. I did buy more but I would like to see MagPul make these mags and I would try those too. L and Haven't tried any other AR 47 mags but these seem to work well. Pros: Probably the best on the market for now

I plan to purchase more of these mags...
Took both mags out to shoot my new AR-15 7.62x39. So far, no jams, and I am pleased with the quality of the magazine. Some folks have stated that a modification to the metal just before the slope has to be filed down a bit to prevent the lip at the jacket from hanging on the magazine as it feeds into the breach. As of yet I haven't had that issue.

Outstanding magazines
Recently purchased Windham Weaponry src in 7.62x39. The magazine that came with the weapon seemed to cause a failure to feed every 3-5 rounds. I watched a couple you-tube videos and they were right. I purchased 3 (30 round) magazines and fired the rifle without one hiccup. The 30 round magazines are a little long if using your rifle with sandbags. I did not purchase my AR for just punching holes in paper 1 round at a time.

Yes I would and did buy this product again.
I have owned a 762 x 39 AR sense the 80s. This is the first magazine that I have found that will feed it perfectly. I thought I would try this magazine before converting it to 223. I'm very glad I did. For the first time in 25 + years my AR 7.62 x 39 functions as it should. Thank you see products for the research and development.
