This cartridge’s 85 grain bullet is no regular jacketed hollow point. Beneath its hard, smooth-feeding copper jacket sits a sintered, lead-free metal powder core. It’s hardy enough to withstand rapid acceleration (950 ft lbs out of a 2-3/4” barrel), but too brittle to react to collision with a solid surface (e.g. steel) without breaking apart.
