Affordable way to regulate an LR308 gas system
Installed this unit on my new LR308 build because I'd heard that their gas systems were overgassed. Very quick to dial in just enough gas to operate a (Heavy) bolt carrier. I was very concerned about recoil, but the adjustable block let me fire 85 rounds and the next day no sore shoulder. Would I recommend this gas block? Heck yeah! Pros: Easy to adjust Cons: I can't think of a single negative at this time

Fit and finish good
Lower profile, correct a2 front sights are a little more difficult to find. Side adjustable brass tipped set screw on top works well. Will not close off gas completely, an internal bypass still allows some gas thru. Engineered for open gas and reduced for a suppressor, not for single shot function. Would buy again but I'm looking for a no gas option.

Will it actually close the port off when adjusting the set screw? Will the height of the picatinny rail be flush with the receiver?
Answer: This can shut off the gas, the rail will not be the same plane as the upper receiver rail.
