DoubleStar uses high quality American made parts to ensure performance in your AR15. Why Choose DoubleStar Parts instead of the Other Guys; DoubleStar uses only the best parts to make their lower parts. Lesser Parts use metal injected molded or improper steel to cut costs. The lesser part will wear at an extremely high rate and need replacing sooner. DoubleStar parts are made to last for the lifetime of the weapon.

The gas block given does not work for what Im doing. What size gas port is this?
Answer:
This barrel uses a .750" gas block.
I have a 16" barrel now if I wanted to go with a 20" barrel would I need to change the gas tube?
Answer:
Probably, as most 16" barrels use a carbine or mid-length gas system, but it ultimately depends on what length your gas tube is now. If you have a rifle length gas tube, then it will work with this barrel. If you do not have a rifle length gas tube, then try item # ARR-118-013 or 2-LUTHBL-04.
Will this fit a S&W M&P 15 with a 16 inch barrel? And do I need any accesories to make it work?
Answer:
Yes it will. You will also need a rifle length gas tube like item# ARR-188-079.
What length hand guard is recommended for this barrel?
Answer:
I would recommend a 15" or longer handguard, so as to cover the gas system. However, the length will ultimately depend on how much of the barrel you would like to have covered by the handguard. Check out item # ARR-276-136 and 16-MTU019SSM3 and ARR-302-349.
Will this work on a DB AR15 and if so any other things Id need to go with it?
Answer:
Yes this will fit a DB AR15. However, unless your current set up has a rifle length gas system, then you will also need a rifle length gas tube. Check out item # ARR-118-013.
What length handguard would work best?
Answer:
This has a rifle length gas system, so this is compatible with free float handguards with 10-15" being popular for 20" barrels. This barrel is also compatible with rifle length two piece drop in style handguards.
Will this fit a mil- spec upper reciever?
Answer:
Yes this will fit a mil-spec AR15 upper receiver.
What kind of range should I be able to get using this 20 barrel? And whats the best Ammo for theTwist Rate: 1:10 Right Hand ?
Answer:
Depending on the skill of the shooter, with practice, you can reasonably reach 500 yards from a 20" barrel. With a lot of practice, 800 yards is not unheard of. The 1:10 twist can use any grain weight but the lighter .223/5.56 grain weights from 40 to 55 should perform best.
